postheadericon Gratitude Community: #182- 186

I've been really enjoying my journey through 1,000 Gifts with Ann Voskamp. Have you checked out her blog? Oh my, get ready to have a tissue and a lot of time of sitting down. She is amazing! Her writing is beautiful! I'd love to challenge you to try this as well. We all have so much to be thankful for but yet alot of times we find it hard to sit still, and listen. Listen to him. And then thank him for ALL he has given us - which is far more than we ever could need!

182. The book I'm reading, "Praying The Scriptures For Your Children".

183. The ability to have prescriptions and good insurance when my babies are sick.

184. Sweet notes from encouraging friends like Gussy.

185. The December/January FREE Gratitude Calendar by Ann Voskamp

186. Forgiveness from Jesus Christ himself.
Let's face it, we all let him down, but he continues to forgive us and love us more.
What a lesson we all should learn and put into practice more.

~Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

Christmas is over and a new year has begun. What do you have to be thankful for? EVERYTHING! God has given us much more than we ever could imagine. God has given us life. So, take a few moments and drop to your knees. Raise your hands and love on the one who first loved you. Give him thanks. What am I thankful for on January 3rd, 2011?

177. Baby Jesus. Yes, someone so amazing that we remember at Christmas but sometimes tend to forget after December 25th. The baby is the reason we are here. And for that, I'm thankful.
