Social Saturday: Meet Stephanie!

Stephanie is a great friend I've gotten to know on Twitter! I just love her tweets and blog and wanted to give you a chance to get to know her as well! Have fun!

5. 3 words that describe you? 3 words.. hmm... mommy, wife, friend, so I asked 2 of my close friends this question to see what they would say.. and they said, encouraging, bubbly, fun Christian, helpmate, mommy

6. When did you first start blogging? I have been blogging on and off for a few years but really just started getting into the whole blogging thing about a year ago.

7. What was your reason to start blogging? The reason I started blogging was a way family members and friends that live away could know what was going on in our family. That is still the case, but now I am blogging to share with everyone what God is doing in my life

8. What is your “niche” for your blog? It's a litte bit of everything. So can just LIFE be my niche?

9. Do you have a phrase or catchy saying for your blog? “ Unwrapping God's gifts one day at a time”

10.When do you find time to blog? I usually blog in the mornings before the kids get up , or after the kids are in bed.

11.Tell us about your family? M y family, oh boy! :) They are something else, and I love it. I have 3 boys, ages 7 ½, 6, and 3 ½, and our little ladybug who will be 2 in November. My amazing husband and I will celebrate 9 year anniversary on September 22. We are very involved in our church. For fun, we love to go camping. Really, we just love being outdoors. Riding 4-wheelers, hiking, swimming, having little camp fires at the house and having people over.

12.What are your hobbies? I LOVE photography. I just bought my first SLR camera this summer! I am so excited!

13.What piece of advice can you give to other bloggers out there? Time management!!! Blogging is fun, I have met so many neat people via blogging and being on twitter BUT family has to come first.

14.What are some fun facts about you that you’d never share unless
asked? Let's see, I played the trumpet in the HS band, and I was actually good at it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to watch WVU football with my husband. My dad is a pastor, so yes, that makes me one of those PK's :) (preachers kid). But not one of the “labled” PK's :)

15.What are your top 3 favorite blogs that you follow? Why do you make me pick 3? hmm.. The Happy Housewife, A life in need of change, A blessed Life

16.Where do you see your blog in 1 year/5 years? I am praying that my blog will continue to glorify the Lord. If it grows great, if not, that's okay too. :) I just want God to be glorified in all that I do.

17.Anything else we need to know about you? :) I am super excited to see where God is going to use me. :) I am a 2^nd year homeschool mom. Which has been different for me. I was not homeschooled but my husband was. I am still learning all of the ropes.

Something else that I have gone through, is 2 miscarriages. I say this because not only did going through those losses bring me closer to the Lord, I have also had the opportunitie to help a number of women who have gone through the same thing. I am so thankful that the Lord is using me in that area. I know that sounds crazy. I am not “glad” I went through it, but because of what the Lord is doing, that is what makes me glad. I pray that the Lord keeps using me!
