We LOVED playing on JumpStart.com and their website. I was shocked when I saw how involved it got my 4 year old. He loves using the computer and this was right up his alley. {Of course we monitor how much computer time he uses and what computer games he plays}.

What is JumpStart? For more than15 years, Knowledge Adventure has set the standard in kids’ software by creating the finest educational products for use in the home and the classroom. In addition to our CD games, we’ve launched a browser-based virtual world at www.JumpStart.com, for kids 3-10years old. Kids can create avatars called Jumpeez for themselves and explore magical worlds, discovering and unlocking games, videos and storybooks that teach everything from math to reading.

He began with creating his own avatar and account profile. Boy, did he love this! He has spent some time on this game and loves using all of it's features. His favorite games to play were the sports games.

There are many places to explore once you launch the game, some of which you may already be familiar with. The first is an area called StoryLand, aimed at 3-5 year olds. Children can also explore AdventureLand and MarineLand, designed for kids in kindergarten to second grade. In addition, children in 3^rd to 5^th grade may be interested in checking out FutureLand, geared towards older children. The newest and most popular feature is the Enchanted Sanctuary, where kids can hatch and raise their own dragons!

As part of your membership, there are more downloadable games offered under "Manage Account">"Downloadables" (when logged into JumpStart.com) These games contain thousands of additional lessons.
