The Best Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies
This recipe is easy and to die for! So yummy! It's great to have your kids help too!
*Ingredients*
1 cup butter (not margarine) softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups flour
1 12oz package chocolate chips (I like dark or semisweet)
(For choco chunk cookies use 2 7oz chocolate bars chopped instead of chips)
*Directions*
1. Heat oven to 375
2. Cream butter and sugars.
3. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
4. Mix in salt, baking powder, baking soda, and flour.
5. Add chocolate. Mold into golf-size balls and place 2in apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
6. Press slightly. Bake 7 min. Remove immediately from cookie sheet. Cool.
*NOTE: I always take mine out of the oven a minute early so they're soft and chewy when they cool.
