Giveaway: TaraDara
Oh how excited I am to offer this giveaway to you! Doesn't TaraDara just have the most adorable things? I see alot I could go on a shopping spree for! In fact, how would you like to go shopping in her store today?
Get to know TaraDara...
I am 37 years old and have been sewing for over 25 years (yes, over 25 years!), from making my own clothes kids clothes to drapes and duvet covers. Then, I was introduced to quilting a couple of years ago. I had always been exposed to quilting as my great granny and my grandma quilted, but I never really had a true interest in it growing up.
My sister in law introduced me to a quilting class ... and that's where it all started. I met some great gals and shared techniques and ideas. Well, a lady showed me this technique that I use presently to make my wallets, passport covers, ID/Card holders, book covers, and brag book covers. I love it because it's funky and unique and I can really put my own style in to it. The best thing is the instant gratification with this form of 'quilting'. The pieces are small enough that it doesn't take as long as, say, a quilt!
My husband and I are blessed with two young sons, that has opened up a whole new world of creative sewing to me. Not only does my craft allow me to stay home and be mom to my boys but I am inspired to experiment with new creations for children to play with and enjoy. After working many years in a busy trauma center as an RN, I am so much more relaxed in this 'job' than I ever was in the ER. My biggest motivation is our two young boys. I want a 'job' that I can be very flexible and at home to be accessible to them at all times even after they start kindergarten.
So what is the giveaway for today?
One lucky winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to TaraDara.
